Description

HALO (Helping And Loving Others) is a social action youth project used to engage young people in supporting their community. The project is based in Port Clarence, and is an opportunity for 5 or 6 young people from the area to engage weekly in painting garden fences and possibly a little bit of gardening.
The project runs every Wednesday once a month from 3pm-6pm, and we will need volunteers to be willing to get alongside the young people engaging with the project to befriend and encourage them, as well as providing some practical support.

This opportunity will assist you in gaining the following skills:

  • Planning/Organising
  • Leadership/Management
  • Communication Skills

Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:

Induction and safeguarding training will be provided, and other training will be available. We will also need to complete a new DBS check with you.
