Actions to Impact Volunteer

What You'll Do:
  • Are you confident on social media? If so, you could help us to share our key messages and raise awareness of new information resources and campaigns. Our local team are here to help you with content and to see the impact of your efforts online.
  • Are you part of a work or community newsletter? If so, we can support you to include key messages on these communications to raise awareness through your networks.
  • Would you like to reach people in your community who cannot access support online? If so, why not deliver information resources in your local area?
  • Small volunteering activities can make a big difference, so we are keen to hear your ideas on ways to micro-volunteer!
Why You'll Love It:
This is a great opportunity to learn more, meet new people, raise awareness around diabetes and through small actions - make a difference to people living with, caring for and at risk of diabetes.

Induction to Diabetes UK and the role by your designated volunteer manager. 1:1 support and supervision with your volunteer manager. Reference available upon request. The opportunity to be part of a volunteer network. The opportunity to learn new skills.
What We're Looking For:
This will depend on your micro-volunteering activities and whether you decide to volunteer online or offline! Willingness to learn about diabetes and listen to the diabetes community. Able to represent Diabetes UK in a positive way.
