Do Good, Feel Good and support the set up of the Middlesbrough Mela 2025!

Volunteering with the volunteering team we will be able to support the longest running Mela in the UK!

What You'll Do: 

Middlesbrough Mela is one of the biggest and most spectacular multi-cultural festivals in the North-East and offers a fabulous mix of music, food, fashion and fun. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Albert Park in the heart of Middlesbrough.

 

We will meet at the Student Life Building on the 15.08.2025 at 9:45am. 

 

We will walk over to Albert park and report to the bandstand at 10:00am. 

 

It will be busy from the word go with setting up the event space, putting up decorations, gazebos, tables, chairs and setting up the various event spaces. 

 

Fully supported throughout by the volunteer coordinators we will see first hand what is involved with supporting an event as big as this. 

 

We will finish volunteering at 1:00pm and walk back over the campus, arriving back around 13:15pm. 

 

Dress for the weather, sturdy comfortable shoes advised. Water will be provided.
