Independent Visitors are matched with a child in care based on location, age, and interests. Visits happen every 3–4 weeks, building a unique, trusted relationship over 2 years.
What You'll Do:
Plan fun activities like meals out, cinema trips, or park visits—always led by the child’s preferences. After each visit, share feedback and report any safeguarding concerns.
Why You'll Love It:
You’ll build a meaningful bond, enjoy shared experiences, and make a lasting difference in a young person’s life. Every visit is a chance to create joy and connection.
What You'll Learn:
You’ll gain insight into a young person's life, develop communication and empathy skills, and learn how to support and empower young people through consistent, thoughtful engagement.
What We're Looking For:
We welcome volunteers who can commit long-term, listen well, and plan inclusive activities. Whether you connect best with younger children or teens, we’ll match you thoughtfully.
