We are holding a Family Fun Day for Christmas on Saturday 6th December. It will start at 12pm and end at 4pm. This is a community event and it is the first time we have done this at Christmas.
We need volunteers to support staff with activities.

What You'll Do: 

You will be asked to help set up and tidy up once the event has ended. You will also support staff and people in the community with activities which are taking place. Such activities are Christmas wreath making, card making, decoration creation, decorating and creating baked treats. You will need to arrive at Newport Community Hub before the event starts. We also need volunteers to support people in the community in completing a survey which will give us valuable information in order to inform future planning.

 

Why You'll Love It: 
You will enjoy working with Council staff and partners in creating a fun day for local families to enjoy. All activities are free for people to enjoy. This is about having fun and talking with people in the community.  Those who volunteer will be able to support with various activities. It will be discussed whether volunteers will move around during the event and support with not just one activity but several. 
What You'll Learn: 
You will be able to work with various people from different organisations such as Thirteen, Middlesbrough Environment City, Middlesbrough Council and Middlesbrough Football Club. You will learn some new skills when supporting with the different activities. You will find out more about the local community and be able to discuss issues with people in the community.
What We're Looking For: 
We need volunteers who are reliable and who are independent. We need people who can use their initiative who will support us with this event and support those who attend.
