We’re inviting Teesside University students to support the British Heart Foundation by volunteering their time and taking on a fitness‑boosting challenge while raising funds for life‑saving heart research. Join Walk for Hearts 2026 this February.

What You'll Do:

This Heart Month, help keep hearts beating by challenging yourself to walk 28, 50, or 100 miles throughout February, raising vital funds for lifesaving heart research. Walking 28 miles is just one mile a day, easy to fit around lectures, placements, part-time work, and social life.

Why You'll Love It:
This is a personal challenge you can complete in your own way. Walk across campus, head out on a study break, stroll with friends, or take a longer walk to unwind after a busy day. Every step counts, wherever and whenever you choose to walk. Take part solo or get involved with course mates, societies, housemates, or flatmates.
What You'll Learn:
By taking on Walk for Hearts, Teesside University students will: Gain experience in charity fundraising and understand how donations create real impact Build confidence, communication, and teamwork skills Develop goal‑setting, motivation, and time‑management skills Boost physical and mental wellbeing while fitting activity around uni life Enhance your CV and employability through volunteering experience All while supporting lifesaving heart research this Heart Month ❤️
What We're Looking For:
We’re looking for motivated students who want to make a difference, are able to take on a walking challenge, and are keen to fundraise for a life‑saving cause. You can take part solo or gather a group of friends to join you as a team.
