What You'll Do: 

Role Summary: This role supports the promotion and growth of the Teesside Hospice lottery by helping represent the hospice at stalls, community events, shopping centres and promotional opportunities. Volunteers will help create a welcoming presence, encourage sign-ups, distribute materials, assist with prize draw promotions, and help raise awareness of the weekly lottery.

Volunteers will help create a welcoming presence, encourage sign-ups, distribute materials, assist with prize draw promotions, and help raise awareness of the weekly lottery.   Key Responsibilities Supporting lottery promotion at community events, stalls, and hospice events Staffing a regular promotion slot at a shopping centre or venue Approaching members of the public confidently and professionally Distributing marketing materials and information Setting up and packing down promotional stands Speaking positively about Teesside Hospice’s work and the impact of the lottery Handling sign-up forms responsibly and returning them to the office following procedure Selling raffle tickets or promotional items using electronic or cash payments Supporting the Community & Events Fundraising Team where needed Representing the hospice in line with brand, values and compliance standards Communicating with the Lottery Membership Officer regarding availability and updates   Personal qualities: Confident engaging with the public Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic Good communicator with a positive attitude Motivated and proactive Able to work as part of a team or independently   Training requirements: Teesside Hospice mandatory training Volunteer induction training Training on lottery compliance and responsible promotion Event/stall training and guidance   Support and supervision: Your first line of support and for any enquiries will be the Lottery Development Officer to support you in your role.   Communications: The Lottery Development Officer will regularly provide you with any information updates, training opportunities and upcoming events appropriate to your role. You will be provided with a Teesside Hospice volunteer badge   Benefits: 20% discount off purchases made in our shops.
