Volunteering with our Community Development Officers from Thorntree Community Hub, Middlesbrough East. You will support events and activities from the hub and be involved in subject related areas of Middlesbrough Council where possible.

What You'll Do: 

You will gain valuable experience in meeting and talking to people in the local community. You will need to flexible in your approach and be willing to get involved in many of the ongoing activities and events which take place at the community centre and in the community.

 

You will work with the Community Development team to go out into the community on walk arounds, noting any issues that can be fed back to the team.

 

You will be involved in team litter picks and will also be involved in collating research around the environment. We are based in a very busy community hub.

You will also gain valuable experience in subject related areas of Middlesbrough Council. Where possible we will aim to give you experience outside the community hub.

 

You may also be offered training opportunities to enhance you skills and experience.

What We're Looking For: 
We are looking for volunteers who are reliable and keen to get involved in community support work. You must be able to travel to Thorntree Communtiy Hub Birkhall Road, Thorntree, Middlesbrough, TS3 9JW. You are welcome to volunteer once a week or once a month, we are flexible and hope you are too!
