You will gain hands on experience, with the opportunity to lead activities and give valued input. We offer training on best practice youth and community work, food hygiene and safeguarding. We reimburse travel expenses for coming to and from sessions. You will receive support and mentoring in your role. If you have goals for your time with us, we want to help you achieve them. From simple things like growing in confidence, to learning to manage difficult behaviour. During your time with us you will be assisting the project leader, and helping to deliver children, youth and family sessions within a disadvantage area. During sessions you will be helping with the running of games and activities, and as you gain experience you will be given the opportunity to lead games and activities. You will be chatting with children, youth and families throughout sessions, as well as encouraging them to get involved with activities and games. You may also be involved with the preparation and serving of drinks, snacks and meals. But most importantly you will be building positive relationships with the children, youth and families and just having fun! We look forward to hearing from you!
