Activities & Events Volunteers are available for one-off events and social activities where we need a larger number of people to support our work. They are available on an 'as and when needed' basis rather than giving a weekly commitment.

What You'll Do:

Activities Supporters: We are looking for people to support with social activities for girls - for example for one-off events such as confidence building activities and trips and excursions. This role is for volunteers who can't offer a regular commitment (such as with our self-esteem courses or Girls Groups) but would still like to make a difference in local girls' lives. Activities are likely to be once or twice per term and in school holidays.
Events Supporters: We are also looking for people to support with attending events such as volunteers fairs, charity networking events, student days or speaking engagements. This role is for volunteers who would like to support Rubies without working directly with girls and this role is open to all. Volunteers will be needed to staff stands as and when required for local events. If you'd like to find out more, please get in touch!

Why You'll Love It:
We know that our work makes a huge difference for vulnerable girls and want to reach many more with the message that they are valued and have potential. If you'd like to find out more, please get in touch!
What You'll Learn:
Rubies provides lots of in-house and external training to assist volunteers with supporting girls. Training courses may include safeguarding, listening skills, trauma, mental health issues and much more. By getting involved with young people, volunteers also learn about their own strengths and motivations and how a small commitment can make a huge difference.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for reliable, compassionate people who are great communicators and able to relate to both adults and young people.
