What You'll Do: 

The Big Lime takes place at Jackson’s Dock, Hartlepool Marina. The events are; Friday 12th August, Swim only. (Start 7pm); Saturday 13th August, Aquathlon - swim and run (Start 9am); Sunday 14th August, Triathlon – swim, run & cycling (start 8:30am) You’ll be working as part of a team in delivering a successful, local landmark occasion. Positioned at one of the key location points, you will be helping competitors and spectators, while interacting with team members. You will be required to pay close attention to the requirements of the competitors, providing help and guidance when required.

The Big Lime weekend, which takes place in the Historic Hartlepool Marina and runs along the Seaton Promenade, is a fantastic local event that showcases the coastal scenery while offering an action-packed weekend for the entire family. It is open to participants of all abilities, both experienced triathletes and those who never competed in a triathlon challenge, are encouraged to sign up. An occasion that once again welcomes and connects the local community after being postponed for the last two years due to COVID-19, it’s a great opportunity to be involved with the triathlon community. To encourage and promote good practise, we support all of our marshals and provide access to maps and instructions. Throughout the day, hot and cold drinks and a free bacon sandwich are offered as refreshments.
What You'll Learn: 
You will learn event management, community development and involvement while improving your communication and customer service skills. Additionally, you will have the chance to expand your network connections and establish new professional working relationships
What We're Looking For: 
We're looking for someone who can communicate well, is friendly, motivated, and enthusiastic. There is no minimum requirement; even 30 to 60 minutes of volunteer time would be welcomed and appreciated.
