Fundify is a tech for good start-up, helping individuals to find grants for education, poverty and disability.

What You'll Do:

We need researchers and analysts who can help us make the Fundify community vibrant and want to help charities and those in need. Your primary tasks will be to undertake charity data analysis and gathering to provide preliminary reviews of grant application methodologies. Initially, this work will involve a shallow analysis of some of the UK’s biggest and most well-known giving charities to help inform individuals in need who are using Fundify’s services. After mastering the shallow analysis, volunteers will then have the opportunity to take on more responsibility – including assisting with the initial review of grant materials for the staging area, tagging and categorisation, and full testing of the search area.

Why You'll Love It:
This role is flexible and can be undertaken from anywhere. We are a tight-knit team who welcome new volunteers, and there is 24/7 support over social networks such as WhatsApp, Slack, Discord etc.
What You'll Learn:
As well as the impact you will have on helping directly connect people in need with funding, and contributing to the University’s success by adding to their own prospect lists for projects and scholarships we believe our analysts will benefit from improved career options – having gained real-world work experience in a fast-paced start-up environment.
What We're Looking For:
Fundify’s approach is data-driven, but in-depth data science experience is not required. Some analytical abilities and an understanding of fairly straightforward MS Office type applications and databases/forums is needed. You will have the opportunity to learn a lot about the UK giving sector and will benefit from in-depth 1:1 support session’s from an experienced analyst, a dedicated WhatsApp group for immediate support, a number of guides and tutorials, the opportunity to interact with other volunteer analysts from all around the UK and other institutions.   We do need people with a good standard of written English – this doesn’t have to be perfect, but we want to be able to focus on analysis, rather than correcting grammar.
