A Way Out’s Fundraising department engages with local businesses and community groups to raise the profile of A Way Out and contributes to raising awareness, understanding, and challenging negative stereotypes, of those experiencing abuse and harm.

What You'll Do: 

The role of volunteer fundraiser is to assist with awareness raising (including help organising and/or attending events) and fundraising, preparation of marketing resources to further raise awareness and understanding and generate income to support our services.

What you will do and why you will love it:    To fully participate in the training programme and further training as required.   To follow A Way Out’s procedures and standards stated in our policies and guidelines.   To liaise with the Fundraising Coordinator where necessary, communicating issues that may arise and accessing support and guidance.   Assist with the planning and delivery of fundraising events and campaigns.   Promote fundraising initiatives via social media, email, and local networks.   Support donor stewardship by helping to thank and update supporters.   Distribute promotional materials in your community (posters, flyers, etc.).   Encourage and support others in running their own fundraising activities.   Amin tasks which include making resources for the various campaigns.   Take reasonable care of my own health and safety while onsite and of the health and safety of others. I will cooperate with A Way Out in complying with their legal duties with regard to health and safety matters.   If you are unable to attend any sessions as agreed, you must inform the organisation as soon as possible giving as much notice as you can. This must be done verbally i.e. you should not text or email your notification of absence. Please telephone or our Reception 01642 655071.   Bus fair travel can be claimed with proof of a receipt to help with volunteer expenses.
