This role will be responsible for researching a variety of donated items of a possible high standard and desirability for our Standard shop, Online Shop and Ebay shop.

What You'll Do: 

This role will involve identifying desirable, valuable and unusual items donations to be offered for sale across our standard shop, our Ebay shop or Oxfam’s Online shop. This can include anything from old books to vintage china, designer clothes to rare records. Items will need to be researched items on appropriate websites and through other means as necessary to determine the approximate value; this can include contacting specialists and auction houses. Finally, researched items must be clearly marked and priced and forwarded to the correct departments and volunteers, so that they can be dealt with as necessary.

1. An interest in varied and unusual items; 2  Attention to detail; 3. Competency in using computers and the internet is desirable but not essential as full training will be given; 4. Ability to use multiple websites and apply common sense to research items; 5. Ability to work well under their own direction; 7. Enjoys working in a positive and social environment for a good cause.
