Opportunities to help support children, young people and families.

What You'll Do:

Under the guidance of The Bungalow Partnership, you will deliver one-to-one emotional wellbeing sessions to children and young people in a school in Teesside using creative and play-based techniques to soothe anxieties, help to encourage friendship and social skills, increase empathy and understanding among school staff and help to strengthen bonds between family members.

Why You'll Love It:
Providing emotional wellbeing support is a fulfilling and satisfying activity. The moments where you witness change and improvement for our young people in areas like confidence, mood and social integration will be among the most special that you can experience in a lifetime, and the team at the Bungalow are a supportive, friendly and positive bunch!
What You'll Learn:
You will learn how to create a safe environment for children to explore their emotional material, and how play-based and creative activities can help soothe a child's overactive fight-or-flight response and help them to regulate their feelings. You will also learn to complete a professional package of paperwork and documentation relating to your work and liase with staff and other professionals in your school placement.
What We're Looking For:
Ideally you will be studying on a psychology/health/emotional wellbeing centred subject with a view to pursuing a career in a field focused on improving the mental health and living standards of your community.
