Sonic Arts Week returns to Middlesbrough with a bang! It's is all about living life with the sound turned up to the max. Let your ears lead the way and come and join the racket!

What You'll Do: 
  • Sonic Arts Week, The Auxiliary, 31 Station St, Middlesbrough TS1 1SR, Saturday June 22nd - Saturday June 29th 2024

  • You can volunteer for just one shift, or join in the fun for a full week, it's up to you...
  • Welcoming audiences to Sonic Arts week.
  • Directing audiences to performance spaces across Middlesbrough Town Centre.
  • Assisting Street Performers before, during and after performances.
  • Assisting in the set up and take down of workshops.
  • Welcoming audiences to workshops.
  • Assisting Sound Artists before, during and after workshops.
  • Helping audiences interact with objects to make sound.
  • Promoting the festival programme.

Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There will be opportunities for further training in Inclusivity & Accessibility, Working with Children, Digital Capture, Content Creation and Social Media, and Sound and Technical Production. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
