What You'll Do: 
  • Helping set up and take down the festival, stringing fairy lights, installing the lantern village, putting up signs.
  • Welcoming visitors, assisting on information points, guiding visitors around site.
  • Assisting artists with workshops, facepainting and other activities.
Why You'll Love It: 
Saltburn Valley Gardens will be transformed into a magical Valley of Light with a trail of light artworks and installations created by Stellar Creates and local artists. There will also be storytelling, performances and drop-in craft activities. Without our volunteers, this event wouldn’t be possible. We do hope you'll join us at this wonderful family festival! You'll have fun, meet new people and be part of a team! You'll learn about event management, gain in confidence, develop your customer service skills, discover new performers and artists and be at the heart of the Festival. You'll be connecting with and supporting your local community, helping others have a great time and make the festival a success. You'll learn about different career opportunities and enhance your CV.
What We're Looking For: 
Enthusiasm and a smile. A can-do attitude. Responsibility and reliability. Set-up is an active role, but can be carried out by anyone who can walk around the gardens. The site is accessible for wheelchair users and buggies. If you have any questions about access, please ask.
