MAIN are an autism charity and are dedicated to delivering a holistic approach that is inclusive and accepting, that promotes awareness, education, and most importantly, continues to create an atmosphere that at the centre promotes wellbeing.

What You'll Do:

On Sunday 30th June, Main are celebrating their 21st Birthday and are planning a party for the children, families and community that they support. The party will take place between 11.30 - 2.30 pm at the Finlay Copper Centre in North Ormesby and they are looking for volunteers to help facilitate the party. Volunteers will be required to be on-site prior to the start of the party, to help with the set-up. There will be a number of activites taking place including a bouncy castle and excotic reptiles will be on-site with their handlers so volunteers will help to facilitate this and manage the crowds. Main are still looking for addtional entertainment so if any volunteers have any talent and would like to showcase this on the day, this would be welcomed?

Why You'll Love It:
Main are a great charity and we are a big supporter of them as they do some amazing work with autistic children and young people and their families. They are very welcoming, inclusive and supportive and are a pleasure to work with. You will be welcomed into the Main family straightaway and your help will be greatly appreciated. Along with that, you will hopeully get to spend a day in the sun and enjoy the fun and celebration of the day.
What You'll Learn:
Team work, communication skills, event management, problem solving
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for enthusiatic, hard working volunteers who could commit to helping Main with their birthday party. No expereince of working with children with autism is necessary. Just a big smile and a willingness to help the day be a huge success is required.
