Climate Ambassadors support Climate Action Middlesbrough to reduce the town's footprint and raise awareness of the need for climate action. TO APPLY... please complete and return the form, which can be found at the bottom of the summary section -->.

What You'll Do:

As a Climate Ambassador, you’ll play an important part in the spreading CAM’s message and reaching people across the town. Climate action doesn’t have to be a formal thing; sometimes a conversation is enough to plant a seed... and this is at the heart of the Climate Ambassador role.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging with the public about climate change, its impact, and how they be a part of the movement to stop it.
  • Championing the university’s commitment to tackling climate change and inspiring other students to do the same.
  • Supporting Climate Action Middlesbrough’s events and campaigns to help them achieve their full potential.

Full training will be provided and you don’t have to be doing a climate-related course to get involved.

Why You'll Love It:
Climate change is inevitable. The only variable is how quickly and to what degree it happens. CAM is already fighting the fight to slow its effects. As a Climate Ambassador you'll join this fight and take meaningful action that will benefit not only this community but communities around the world.
What You'll Learn:
You'll attend our Climate Action Awareness training and our Climate Ambassador training. The former will equip you with all the information neccesary to talk to people about climate change, as well as some angles to come from. The latter will teach you about what it means to be a volunteer, how to stay safe and the core aims of CAM's work - laying the foundation for your work as an Ambassador.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for people who feel passionate about doing more to fight climate change, are great with people and feel comofortable engaging with them to challenge their pre-existing ideas about what taking climate action means.
