Keeping in regular contact with our members to check on their wellbeing is one of our key services. Our Wellbeing Volunteers contact a range of different members every week to make a friendly 'check in' call and have a chat.
What You'll Do:
- Contacting different members on a weekly basis to check on their wellbeing
- Identifying needs and further support
- Providing basic emotional support to members
- Making additional support calls to deafblind members as required
- Supporting with data collection
- Completing online contact record following each contact
Why You'll Love It:
Be part of a friendly and dedicated team
The satisfaction of knowing you will be making a difference to real people’s lives
New communication skills
The opportunity to learn and gain a wider understanding of dual sensory loss
We ensure all volunteers who join our team are well equipped to undertake any tasks and will provide training and supervision throughout your journey with us. Any specific training will be outlined within your onboarding and induction stages and then discussed at your reviews with your named lead contact

Communication skills
Empathy
