This would be an opportunity for people to volunteer with the service to support our learners in the classrooms and sessions with a variety of things.

What You'll Do: 

1 To support individual learners identified as having additional learning support needs, for example physical disability, learning disability, mental health, and dyspraxia in a classroom situation under the supervision of qualified tutor.

2 Assist designated learner with classroom activity, which may include help with literacy/numeracy or practical skills such as cookery, art or crafts.

3 Prepare the classroom and support the tutors as required

4 Ensure any safeguarding concerns are escalated where necessary

5 Maintain written records of activities covered.

6 Report any issues to tutors as soon as possible

What You'll Learn: 
We can gear this to your requirements to an extent but could include: - Teaching hours - Experience in supporting learners with different backgrounds - Experience with ESOL students (where English is not their first language) - working in a learner support function
