Volunteer Collection Tin Coordinator

Department: Fundraising

Location:  Hybrid/ Off site

Time Requirement:  Flexible to suit you (Up to 2 days per month can vary)

DBS Check needed? No

Age Requirements: From 18 years old plus

 

Please note for this role you must have access to your own transport and provide the appropriate driver documentation.

 

Role Summary: The Role is to support the community fundraising team with creating of a data base, the distribution, and collection of collection tins.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Seek opportunities to place new boxes
  • Plan a collection route to cover all areas
  • Ask premises to display posters to promote the Teesside Hospice’s events
  • Collect, count and bank donations
  • Assist with the creation and maintain records of in a database for collection tins
  • Keep business information up to date and issue Service Level Agreements to holders of collection tins
  • Build relationships with site contacts, ensuring that boxes are well positioned and visible
  • Follow policies and procedures relevant to role
  • Complete documentation relating to the role

  • Self-Motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Good knowledge of the Teesside area
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Polite and approachable

 

Training requirements:

As a Volunteer Collection Tin Coordinator you will complete the following training:

  • Teesside Hospice mandatory training
  • Volunteer induction training
  • Any other training identified as appropriate to the role
     

Support and supervision:

Your first line of support will be your manager will be a member of the Community and Events Fundraising team

 

Communications:

The Community and Events Fundraisers will regularly provide you with any information updates, training opportunities and upcoming events appropriate to your role.

You will be provided with a Teesside Hospice volunteer badge.
