Crossing the Tees Book Festival returns for its twelfth year in June 2025 in libraries across the Tees Valley. The festival includes author events, writing and poetry workshops. Volunteers' skills, experience and time help us achieve our aims.

What You'll Do: 
  • Welcoming and guiding attendees
  • Welcoming authors, artists and performers
  • Serving refreshments including alcohol (over 18s only)
  • Helping to set up and take down event spaces
  • Collecting event evaluation data

Volunteers can specify which events and venues they would like to cover. We will share programme information nearer the event.

If you have any accessibility requirements please let us know and we will be happy to tailor the volunteering opportunity to suit you.

What You'll Learn: 
Once you've signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service, Health & Safety, Inclusivity & Accessibility, and Carbon Literacy. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in our wonderful Badge Skills Award Programme.
What We're Looking For:
