Flood Resilience Community Engagement Team (Environment Agency)
We want to ensure that Students are aware of the flood risk in their areas and to know what to do before, during and after a flood. This role is a communication based role, you will not be entering water or putting yourself or others in danger at any time. If you sign up to the role and your application is accepted, you will receive some flood resilience information and be invited to support our staff at Student events to share flood resilience information with the Student community.
ABOUT US:
We are a Flood Resilience Community Engagement team working in the North East of England. We work with communities to share important information about flood risk and resilience. We want to ensure that our Student communities are also aware of local flood risks, how to report flooding concerns and know what to do and where to go for support.
WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:
With flood risk increasing, we want to ensure that communities are better prepared for flooding so that the impacts for individuals and communities are reduced.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE:
We look for good communicators, people who are willing to share messaging with others to spread flood risk awareness.
