The start of the 2026/27 season is not too far away and will mark 50 Years since the foundation of Acklam Rugby Club in 1976. From very humble beginnings the club has survived financial struggles, fire and a global pandemic yet still provides first class facilities for our senior teams to train and play, as well as opportunities for children from diverse backgrounds, and as young as 6 years of age, to learn and enjoy playing the game. Talbot Park is a place to play, socialise and develop friendships to last a lifetime.

No previous experience is necessary, just the motivation to get involved and be part of something special.
We are all volunteers at the club with only the bar staff and a couple of specialist roles being paid for their time. We value the contribution the club brings to the community and work hard to make it as accessible as possible to all walks of life
