The Darlington and District Branch is committed to improving the welfare of animals in the local area. We aim to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and having a compassionate attitude to all animals. We want to improve and make a difference to the lives of local animals through education and promoting the branch in the community. Our branch is run by a committee of locally elected volunteers who are responsible for the management and administration of the branch's affairs.
The area the branch covers is large. It includes Darlington, Reeth, Muker, Barnard Castle, Stanley, Crook, Bishop Auckland, Richmond, Catterick and all the villages in between. We work closely with RSPCA Inspectors to provide direct animal welfare services in these areas. This includes veterinary care to animals which the RSPCA Inspectors have rescued from harm.
Caring and concerned about how animals are treated, reliable, trustworthy, friendly, fun, team players. Enjoy being around animals. Enjoy being around people of all ages.
The RSPCA is one of the oldest and most well known animal welfare organisations in the UK.
