To provide opportunities for the performance of the acoustic music, song and dance traditions of the British Isles and of related countries, helping to preserve these traditions. To provide opportunities for the performance of acoustic music, song and dance, by musicians of all ages from a broad spectrum of musical genres. To provide opportunities for the performance of poetry and storytelling. To advise, support, encourage and otherwise help, new performers of all ages, of traditional folk, contemporary folk and related styles of music, dance and song, providing a platform for their further exposure on the club, concert and festival circuits. To co-operate with Folk Clubs, community organisations and other groups to provide and promote entertainment featuring music, song and dance in the British folk idiom, and to seek space in East Cleveland for the public performance of such music, song and dance.
