Right now, more than 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK. By 2030 this figure will rise to 4 million. We’re here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support. We'll do whatever it takes, no matter what a person's needs are, we will listen and support them however they need us to — big or small.

We are millions of supporters, professionals, volunteers and campaigners. We give everything we’ve got to support people living with cancer.

Since Douglas Macmillan founded our charity in 1911, we have grown to be the UK’s leading source of cancer support, helping more and more people living with cancer, all with your help.

Today much of Douglas's legacy lives on. We’ve continually adapted the support we offer to ensure it’s right for people today, and will be right in the future too. Our determination to continually improve the experience of cancer is something that will never waver.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

There are lots of cancer charities. But there's only one Macmillan. No one cares as passionately as us. We'll do whatever it takes to support people living with cancer.

Everyone’s experience of living with cancer is unique, but everyone needs someone in their corner – that’s where we come in. From the moment someone is diagnosed with cancer, we’re there with all the information, support and guidance they need.

It’s about being accountable for our actions and using our courage and determination to achieve the best possible result. This calls for everyone to speak up and sometimes make difficult decisions. We don’t do what’s easy. We do what will make the biggest difference.

With heart. We are genuine. We are compassionate. We see the whole you. We have big hearts at Macmillan, but this doesn’t make us soft.
