TUSU has a very close relationship with the University but operates independently. It is completely student led with three Student Officers elected each year to oversee how it’s run and represents students to the University and external bodies. We have 3 elected Student Officers (President Education, President International and President Wellbeing) leading a 10-strong Board Of Trustees also including experienced External Trustees from sectors such as charity, local government and higher education as well as 2 Student Trustees representing the grassroots student population. They are supported by a team of permanent and student staff, including a Chief and Deputy Chief Executive and managers who have operational responsibility for the day-to-day running of the organisation.
