ABOUT US: 

With all things volunteering in one place, the Volunteering Academy aims to remove any barriers or confusion about where and how to get support for volunteering in Middlesbrough.

Our training, resources and events are available in a variety of ways including online and face to face, using local venues to give easy access for everyone.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS: 

Our voluntary and community sector relies heavily on volunteers to be able to deliver  amazing services to their communities. We want everyone to be able to volunteer, regardless of their experience or barriers they face in order to fulfil their needs and help their local area.

OUR VALUES: 
Our role is to support, promote and develop local voluntary and community action and we do this by: Providing practical development support (including funding) Managing Middlesbrough Volunteering Academy Supporting the VCS to engage at a strategic level Enabling the sector to work together through meetings, forums, training and events Advocating for the VCS through membership of planning and partnership forums and liaison with public bodies Promoting good practice in meeting the needs of local people and communities Raising the profile of the local VCS through research and other short-term projects.
