As one of our trained Speak out Stay safe volunteers, you’ll help us protect a generation of children from abuse and neglect by visiting schools twice a month to give our age-appropriate Speak out Stay safe workshops. SUITABLE FOR WE MODULE
As part of our Speak Out, Stay Safe program as a volunteer you will attend Primary Schools within the Tees Valley area and deliver a 1 hour workshop to Year 5 and 6 Students (10 -11year olds). The minimum commitment is to sign up and deliver to 2 schools per month so in terms of hours this would be 4 hours per month that you need to commit to. The workshop has a pre-written script that you will follow and learn so that you can confidently deliver alongside another volunteer. The worshops are delivered by two volunteers who take it in turns to deliver each section between each other, so you will always be working alongside another volunteer.
