Carmel Teacher Training Partnership
Our Vision at CCTP (Carmel Teacher Training Partnership) is to deliver the very best training and development to ultimately produce expert teachers who will enable the very best teaching and learning outcomes for the young people of the North-East and beyond.
ABOUT US:

Carmel Teacher Training Partnership (CTTP) is an ‘outstanding’ Initial Teacher Training provider. We work with schools across the urban, semi-rural and rural areas of the North East of England. Our schools are situated in and around Alnwick, Billingham, Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Durham, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton and Sunderland. Our schools are divided into clusters, so that trainees benefit from placement schools within their local area.

Established in 1999, Carmel Teacher Training Partnership has been inspiring the next generation of teachers for many years and successfully training primary and secondary teachers in a variety of subject areas.  We understand the value of volunteering within the development of teacher training and support the development of volunteering within our partner schools.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

Our partnership of schools has extensive experience of working with student teachers and can provide excellent school placement opportunities across Primary and Secondary.

When you spend a day within our schools, you will be immersed into everything that education entails.

Your time will be beneficial for the individual and schools alike.

HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT:
  • We have an extensive support system which ensures that all volunteers have the opportunity to reach their true potential.
  • We know that no two volunteers are the same. We treat each one as an individual and provide opportunities that are tailored to their specific needs.
  • Learning on the job. Because our volunteering is school-based, you’ll learn from outstanding professionals. CTTP are committed to ensuring that you gain the full experience.
  • School placements offered in your local area: you’ll train in highly supportive schools across the North East of England.
  • As a Professional Training Centre we support and train teachers from Initial Teacher Training (ITT) to Early Career Teacher (ECT): middle leadership, senior leadership, headship and beyond.
