Did you know….Teesside Hospice support 3000 people each year living with a terminal illness in Teesside! Their vision is that they can be there for everybody who needs them and ensure that local people get the very best care at the end of their life. From the beginning in 1982, they have continued to change lives across Teesside by supporting people and families who've been affected by terminal illness, whether it's end of life care, supporting people to live well alongside their illness, or through anticipatory and grief counselling. They help individuals to make the most of every day, ensuring they receive the best possible care by creating experiences and memories that last a lifetime.
As a recognised volunteer accredited organisation who "offers excellent support to volunteers and are confident that anyone choosing to volunteer with them will have a good experience and an enjoyable and varied volunteer journey." We are delighted to have them on the volun-tees platform.
Current and previous student volunteers have ranked Teesside Hospice in the top 10 (10 being the highest) for supporting their career AND improving their time at the University.

Nightstop prevents homelessness through community hosting. It helps people who are in immediate housing crisis by providing safe accommodation in the homes of vetted volunteers called ‘hosts’.
