When Community Development Officer, Emma Davisworth, Neighbourhoods Team for Middlesbrough Borough Council asked if we would like to join in with the “Keep Borough Tidy” campaign, of course we said YES!
A fantastic Do Good, Feel Good event which helped to protect the environment, improve the space around us, boost our mental health and most certainly fostered that sense of community in us all. Taking pride in our environment, the place we live, work and enjoy is everyone’s responsibility and our excellent group of volunteers made us incredibly proud.
The afternoon started with a short walk over to Newport Community Hub. Following a safety briefing, we then targeted areas around Middlesbrough to help with the campaign. We chatted, we laughed, it was a great way to meet new people. Thank you Giulia, Rukhshan, Shakib, Lucia and David for volunteering your time with us.
Middlesbrough Borough Council are on the volun-tees platform and actively welcome volunteers to assist on many projects.
