We are currently in the process of identifying our student volunteers who have met the criteria and qualified for an award at this year’s Volun-Cheers Awards which will take place on the evening of Thursday 2 May 2024. Invitations will be sent out to those students who have achieved an award in April.

As well as presenting awards to our student volunteers, we will also be presenting Organisation and Mentor Awards.

As an active volunteer, you are invited to nominate an organisation or mentor who deserves extra recognition?

If the organisation or mentor has gone above and beyond their role in supporting you with you volunteering role, then why not nominate them for a Volun-Cheers Award..  For your nomination to be considered by the judging panel, please ensure that you provide as much information as possible

Things to consider for mentor nominations

Have they had a positive impact on their community, group/club members or service users?

Have they shown enthusiasm, responsibility and commitment to volunteering?

Have they been creative or used their own initiative?

Has their involvement gone beyond what would normally be expected of their role?

Have they shown determination, initiative or innovation with regards to fundraising?

Things to consider for organisation nominations

How has the organisation supported you whilst volunteering?

What makes this a good organisation to volunteer with?

What training/support have they provided for you?

Why is this an outstanding place to volunteer?

Please ensure that if you nominate an organisation or mentor, you inform them that you have done so, and that as part of this process you have been asked to pass on their personal contact details to Volun-tees.

Nominations must be received by 12.00pm on Friday 5 April 2024. We regret that we cannot accept entries received after this time.

We reserve the right to alter the category in which a person or group will be judged if another category is more appropriate.

Nominations will be judged by an independent panel. The panel's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
