Creative Art Volunteer
The Creative Art volunteer will work with patients either in a small group or one-to-one to help with memory box work or do some recording of patient personal stories they can give to their families.
What You'll Do:
The Wellbeing Centre (WBC) is for individuals who have a life limiting illness who are currently independent but require support and skills to live their lives to the full. We run various support groups with the aim to increase self-esteem, confidence, low mood, improve symptoms to name a few. The individuals who attend are from a mix of ages and have various conditions, not just cancer. We would value any student who wants to utilise their artistic skills and learn some communication skills too.

An awareness of what a hospice is and what it is not and what services it provides to patients and their families and the local community.
Improve their communication and social skills via talking to patients and staff.
An understanding of a professional workplace and the behaviour and commitment that is expected from employees.
What We're Looking For:
An artisic and enthusiastic person
No specific IT skills are required above and beyond that of standard use of Microsoft Office applications such as word, excel, powerpoint etc.
