Middlesbrough Mandale Athletics Club is looking for voluntary athletics coaches. No coaching experience or qualifications required, just an interest in and enthusiasm for coaching sport to young people.

What You'll Do: 

You will work alongside an experienced athletics coach to develiver fun and engaging athletics sessions to children between the ages of 5-13.  All sessions take place at Middlesbrough Sports Village on weekday evenings

Athletics provides a place for all children irrespective of their perceived ability or background.  Athletics is truly an inclusive sport seeking to engage all children.  Through your role as a volunteer coach you will have the opportuntity to see and be responsible for the growth and devlopment of children as athletes and young people.  Working with children through athletics is great fun, and to know that you have contributed directly to the physcial and emotional wellbeing of children is immensley rewarding.  There is also a fantastic cluture of support for coaches at Middlesbrough Mandale Athletics Club to assist you on your coaching journey.
What You'll Learn: 
You will learn: how to safely manage a group of enthusiastic young children in an athletics environment. how to engage and excite young children about participating in athletics. how to adapt activity for individual children to ensure that all are engaged and benefitting from an activity being delivered. a diverse range of activities to engage children in athletics and physical activity. how your delivery impacts on the broader context of developing sport and contributing to wider public health. All of the above will be learnt through a combination of support and mentoring from an experienced coach, and through formal athletics coaching qualifications should your wish to take them.  
What We're Looking For: 
We are looking for people who care passinately about the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of children and want to impact on this through the delivery of fun and engaging athletics sessions with one of the region's leading athletics clubs, Middlesbrough Mandale Athletics Club; at the region's leading athletics facility, Middlesbrough Sports Village.
