Come and join North East Opera! We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to join our workshops, performances, recordings, and film making opportunities.

What You'll Do:

Volunteers who work with North East Opera will gain a variety of skills primarily through our workshop programme which includes a mix of drama and musical exercises and games that are then incorporated into working on material to be performed and/or recorded and filmed.

These skills can be applied in any line of work whether in public speaking, interview preparation, confidence building, team building, and general cultural awareness.

Why You'll Love It:
We create a professional environment centred on focused fun. We have a laugh but always have a determined and powerful performance style that engages the audience. While we love performing, the most important part of our work is in the weekly workshops. It is in these sessions that we get to share ideas, create and swap roles, direct, and eventually, let the room decide on what works.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for willingness and enthusiasm over experience and ability. We believe that everyone has something to offer but not everyone is given the opportunity to develop performance skills. These skills can be discovered and enhanced at any age!
