Help shape the school’s vision, support leadership, and ensure resources are used effectively. No experience needed—training provided. Make a real impact on education while developing valuable skills in a voluntary role.

What You'll Do:

Governor Recruitment

Are you interested in serving as a Governor at a Maintained School, Academy, or as a Trustee at a Multi Academy Trust?

  • Are you looking for a new challenge that allows you to put something back into your local community?
  • Are you interested in making a positive contribution to children’s education?
  • Do you have time and energy to read documentation and attend meetings?
  • Do you want children to get the best from their school/academy?

You don’t need to be an expert in education, you just need to be prepared to listen and ask questions with a desire to make a difference.

If this is you, then you could have what it takes to join the largest volunteer network in the country, working with others to ensure every child gets the best possible education.

School and Governor Support provide services to schools, academies and trusts and would welcome enquiries from people residing across the North East.

If you are interested and would like some more information, please do not hesitate to contact Sophie Hewitson on 07384538085 or email Sophie.Hewitson@stockton.gov.uk
