A placement with Cleveland School Sport Partnership gives you hands-on experience delivering school sport, supporting events, and working with schools and partners, while developing the skills needed for a career in sports development & education.
During the volunteering, you will support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of school sport and physical activity programmes across primary and secondary schools. You will help deliver sessions, support competitions, festivals, and events, and work directly with children and young people.
You will also support the day-to-day running of programmes through administrative tasks such as data collection, monitoring participation, and communicating with schools and partners. Alongside delivery, you will contribute to the organisation’s website and social media by helping create content, promote activities, and share the impact of our work.
The volunteering will give you experience of partnership working, safeguarding, and inclusive practice, while developing key skills including communication, leadership, organisation, and professionalism. You will be supported by experienced staff and given opportunities to take responsibility and build confidence.
By the end of the volunteering, you will have practical experience of sports development within schools, alongside valuable digital and communication experience, helping prepare you for future employment in sport, education, or community settings.
