We are looking for volunteers to support with our 8 week self-esteem courses in local primary schools. The role involves working alongside a Rubies leader to support girls to increase self-esteem, build resilience and stay safe.
Middlesbrough's girls have been labelled as the most disadvantaged in the country. Rubies wants to change that and to give local girls a much more positive message about their potential and their futures. Our 8 week primary school course is creative, interactive, challenging and a lot of fun.
Volunteers need to be able to commit for the full 8 weeks, usually for 4 hours from approx 12-4pm once a week. We want to increase the number of schools we work with as we know the course makes a huge difference for the girls who complete it. If you'd like to know more, please get in touch!
