Assist in the roll out of the Summer Reading Challenge across Stockton Borough Libraries. Volunteers will have the opportunity to: • Interact with staff, young library users and other volunteers. • Provide a valuable service for the children

What You'll Do: 

Want to do something fun, creative and get some experience? Stockton Libraries are looking for young people aged from 16 to 24 who can volunteer for at least 10 hours over the Summer Holidays. This is a great volunteering opportunity to improve your communication skills, meet new people, get experience for your CV and make a difference to a child’s future and help them discover the pleasure of reading.

You will be interacting with the children and staff, have fun reading and selecting books, doing arts and craft sessions. It is in a very fun and friendly environment. 
What You'll Learn: 
You will be able to upskill your own literacy skills and social skills with children and young people. 
What We're Looking For: 
We are looking for passionate enthusiastic people who love working with children and younger people to improve their literacy and confidence. Friendly personality with the ability to communicate with others . Ability to work with others and to follow instructions, and to act in accordance with health and safety procedures.
