We are looking for Teesside University students to take the lead in developing and delivering solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in our communities. Enactus is the UK's leading social action and enterprise education charity.

What You'll Do:

We believe that student entrepreneurs taking action creates a better world for us all. In the Enactus programme, you’ll get to work hands-on to tackle the UN Sustainable Development Goals on both a local and global scale.  Projects vary from team to team, but as an Enactus member you’ll be able to work with like-minded individuals to shape these projects and maximise your social impact.

Making a difference is at the heart of the Enactus programme, so you’ll also get the chance to take part in our competition. Each year, Enactus teams across the country compete to do the most social good in a sustainable manner in our Regional and National competitions, presenting their projects in a bid to be crowned the National Champion and represent the UK in the Enactus World Cup.

Why You'll Love It:
Enactus graduates are 50x more likely to be hired by our partner companies than the average graduate.   The Enactus programme provides unique opportunities to interact with and learn from the world of work, and our alumni work in exciting jobs across the whole world. Our students get all sorts of experiences, including:   Business advisors and mentorship Frequent training events Opportunities to present in front of senior business leaders Collaboration with other businesses and projects Project competitions and accelerators Access to our Training Hub and Careers directory   … and so many more opportunities!
What You'll Learn:
We need brand new Enactus projects, if you are looking to establish your own project you will take the role of project leader.   You will be required to build a team of students to work with and work with the team at Launchpad to understand the problem you are trying to solve, develop a theory of change and finally deliver upon your proposed project. We have a strong partnership and are working closely with Thirteen Group, the largest social housing landlord in the North-East.   Thirteen Group have identified a number of key challenges that they are keen to work with students on including...   - Tackling anti-social behaviour - Solutions that can help residents with the cost of living crises - Solutions that address youth unemployment - Reduction of fly tipping - Supporting single parents into work - Supporting resettlement and refugees with social isolation - Setting up environmental projects   Alternatively you may select an issue or topic that you are passionate about solving, we can offer support along the way.
What We're Looking For:
Students with an idea that are willing to take the lead on delivering an entrepreneurial community impact project.   To find out more and request a project proposal template contact - Stephen Goodall - s.goodall@tees.ac.uk
