Develop your communication skills by working with local people, virtually and or in person to find out about experiences of health and social care. Learn about local services and share this with the community at regional events.
What You'll Do:
- Working with other volunteers and staff to undertake outreach engagement with a variety of communities to get people’s views on health and social care services.
- Planning engagement activities with other volunteers and staff members.
- Recording people’s experiences to share with Healthwatch South Tees.
- Holding engagement sessions in the community.
- Conduct surveys, consultations, and focus groups with local people.
- Working alongside HWST team who will offer you advice and support, to enable you to support others.
- Completing training to help you in your volunteer role.

What We're Looking For:
Effective communication skills and ability to ask questions and listen well to engage with people, a knowledge of other languages or sign language would be be beneficial
Someone who enjoys meeting with and talking to members of the public
Empathy towards people
Passionate about improving local health and social care services
Able to separate own experiences from other peoples in order to be able present the views of the people they represent in an unbiased way
Able to work as a team with other volunteers and staff
Respectful of confidentiality
