Business and Enterprise in the Caribbean
Discover and learn about the vibrant and developing business landscape of the Caribbean. Then get hand-on working with local businesses to innovate and bring fresh ideas!

What You'll Do:

The Caribbean is one of the world’s greatest and most recognisable brands. Everyone knows what makes the region so unique and special whether it’s the music, food, culture, beaches or hotels the Caribbean stands out from the rest.

On this programme, we want to introduce you to everything that makes the Caribbean what it is, and show you how the region positions itself from a commercial perspective.

You’ll visit and meet with…

Local Business Leaders for the Public and Private Sectors,

Local Businesses,

NGO’s,

Charities,

and, Local communities.

Why You'll Love It:
Our immersion into the world of Caribbean commerce will likely be a once-in-a-lifetime type experience for you. You will meet extraordinary people, and see how locals can overcome true challenges to create opportunities for themselves, their families and their communities.  But, we don’t just want to showcase what the Caribbean has to offer. We want you to play your part. After an initial period of immersion and familiarisation, it’s your turn to get hands-on as you’ll be working alongside local businesses to bring creativity, innovation and new ideas. You will use what you have learned from the experience and the skills you already have to try and make a difference. Your work will not only mean so much to local people, but it will also give you a real-life case study for you to use for future work or study applications. This an example of you going out of your way to use your skills to do good. This opportunity is open to all and has no entry requirements. We are looking for students who are inquisitive, entrepreneurial, passionate and keen to learn.   https://caribbeanelective.com/business/
