Pride Committee Volunteer

Meet new people and join a team with shared interests. Play a key role in shaping a Pride event that’s relevant to Middlesbrough’s communities. Be active in your allyship and make a difference for your local LGBTQIA+ community. Discover and support LGBTQIA+ artists from the Tees Valley and beyond. See firsthand the impact of the event, and create a positive experience. Increase your confidence by collaborating with supportive and like-minded people. Gain valuable event planning skills and experience, enhancing your CV. Attend events for free when not on duty. We can pay your travel expenses, and you'll receive a meal or a meal voucher when you volunteer for a day or evening shift.   Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There will be opportunities for further training in Inclusivity & Accessibility, Working with Children, Digital Capture, Content Creation and Social Media, and Sound and Technical Production. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA's wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
