What You'll Do:

Middlesbrough Art Week is back for its 7th edition and takes place across Middlesbrough town centre. It runs for a full week of exhibitions, talks, workshops, performances, events and exciting public interventions.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting attendees.
  • Answering queries about artworks and the wider festival programme.
  • Directing attendees to venues across Middlesbrough.
  • Assisting with the set up and take down of workshops.
  • Assisting attendees at workshops.
Why You'll Love It:
You'll have fun, meet new people and be part of a team! You'll learn about new performers and artists and be at the heart of the Festival. You'll be helping others have a great time and making the festival a success. You'll connect with and support your community. You'll gain confidence, learn about different career opportunities and enhance your CV. And there's always the chance to socialise at our after-event party!
What You'll Learn:
Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service, Health & Safety, Inclusivity & Accessibility and Carbon Literacy. You can get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. You'll also be able to take part in and earn badges with the RSAs exciting Badge Nation Programme.   If you have accessibility needs, please let us know when you apply. We can always make reasonable adjustments so the role works for you.   You can claim back your travel expenses (within Teesside) and we will provide food or a food voucher for each shift you work.
