Student representative at Teesside University’s Access and Participation Plan Project Group which is tasked with reducing the gap in employment rates for students from areas that have low participation in Higher Education.

What You'll Do: 

Undergo up to an hours training on the Access and Participation Plan

Attenda a 1.5 hour meeting on campus of the group every month. Current meetings are scheduled for 

13th of November 2024 - 1.00 to 2:30 p.m. 

11th of December 2024 11.00 to 12:30 

8th January 2025 09.00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

5th of February 2025 1.00 a.m. to 12.30 

3rd of March 2025 2.00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

At the meetings you will 

Provide insight into the student experince and collaborate with group members to ensure the successful implementation of activities outlined in the University's Access and Participation Plan

Help shape the activities devised to better support students from low socio economic backgrounds to progress into graduate roles

Have input in the evaluation of activities aimed at meeting the target.

Someone  Who has experince of living in the Tees Valley or has knowledge of issues of equality within the region. Understands inequalities caused by social background  Who can work collaboratively and within the scope set out for them Who can express their views, knowledge and ideas within a meeting. Who is passionate about reducing inequalities.
