Volunteer research assistant positions are available at the MIND Lab at the Dept. of Psychology, Teesside University. This is for people who are interested in gaining experience conducting lab-based research in cognitive psychology.

What You'll Do: 

You will join a group of researchers working on a range of ongoing projects in our Lab. We will work with you to identify which skills you want to develop as a researcher. You will:

 

  • Learn how to administer cognitive testing procedures (vary depending on the project) to examine attention, learning, decision-making.
  • Work with participants to collect data in the lab.
  • Attend lab-group meetings to learn about and contribute to research projects.
  • Learn about open science, cognitive psychology, neurosicence, data analysis and improve your research skills.
  • Potentially contribute to research outputs (e.g., papers, presentations, posters etc.)
