Do Good, Feel Good
We have some exciting Do Good, Feel Good events coming up and would love for you to join us. These activities involve volunteering alongside the Volunteering Team, so you will be fully supported throughout. We have some fantastic opportunities to give something back to the community, build up your volunteering hours, and get to know everyone a little better.
As we step into the festive winter season, there is something for everyone, plus plenty of Christmas cheer!

Please remember about our Warm this Winter sale on Thursday 4th December in the Student Life Building, 11:30-1:30pm. All items will be from £1 onwards (cash only) and the money raised will be donated to the Unicorn Centre which helps people with Disabilities. Come along and pick up a bargain and stay warm this winter.
Case Study
Case studies are a fantastic way to showcase the incredible work our volunteering students do. This month, we are highlighting Zhixin Cui, who volunteered her time with the English Language Café. In the case study, Zhixin shares how volunteering helped her boost her confidence and develop the skills she needed for her next steps. It’s an inspiring read and a great example of how meaningful volunteering can be.

Volunteering Fairs
In Semester One, we held four volunteering fairs, and we would like to thank everyone who attended. Across the events, we welcomed 29 different organisations and 233 students, a fantastic turnout! These fairs are a great way to make new connections, explore a wide range of opportunities, and build confidence as you take your next steps into volunteering.
Our next fair will take place on 5th March in the new Digital Life Building.

We have been busy this semester, hosting roadshows, delivering find your futures sessions and you may have seen some of us in your in-curricular sessions. If you do see us out and about, do stop us for a chat, we love getting to know you.
We are starting to plan for the festive activities on campus. If you have some time on the 15th December, come along to our “Gonk-struct Your Future” workshop. We are delivering this with the graduate team. A relaxed, informal event that will be good fun.
If you need any help recording your volunteering hours, we are here to support you. Don’t forget, we hold an annual volun-cheers awards ceremony every May, to celebrate the hours you’ve completed and the incredible difference you have made. Recording your hours not only contributes to your award, but also helps you reflect on how far you have come, and the skills gained along the way.
